Estate Mentoring Programme
This innovative support project for local estates utilises the expertise of Ennis Tidy Towns, The Heritage Office, National Parks and Wildlife Service and Council Gardening Section to engage local estates.
Iniscarragh Green Community Action Plan was one of the success stories from this project. The mentors and the local community identified measures that could positively impact on the local environment and biodiversity for the enjoyment of local residents, if implemented. Some of the areas identified included:
- Community orchard
- Upcycled mosaic
- Tree planting
- Nest boxes
- Wildflowers & Pollinator Management
- Flowerbeds
- Cluster Planting
- Promote Sustainable Living
