Annual Best Kept Gardens Competition 2021

The Best Kept Garden is part of the annual Ennis Tidy Towns Local Awards and is our way of saying thanks to all of you who take such pride in your gardens. Like the National Awards, our Best Kept Garden Competition is recognising the importance of native biodiversity and therefore we are continuing our ‘Biodiversity Garden’ Category for 2021.

These are gardens that purposely make room for traditional garden plants as well as native flora, bees, butterflies, hedgehogs and other wildlife. We would also like to see biodiversity catered for, where possible, in the Large, Medium and Small Garden categories. And don’t worry, if your garden is at the back of your house we will contact you to arrange a time to view it so please do enter! Adjudication will adhere to all COVID19 guidelines to ensure everyone’s safety. B

Annual Best Kept Community Green Space Competition 2021

The Community Green Space Competition (also known as the Green Areas Award) is part of the annual Ennis Tidy Towns Local Awards and is our way of saying thanks to all of you who take such pride in your green areas, residential streetscapes, civic gardens and Shrines.

Your passion and hard work is a major contributor to Ennis ranking so highly in the National Tidy Towns Awards and for this, we are truly grateful. Like the National Awards, our Community Green Space Competition is recognising the importance of native biodiversity and therefore we would like to see projects or measures you have taken to promote native flora and fauna. We are mindful that it needs to be site appropriate so if you live along a residential street, maintain a civic garden or Shrine we will recognise the more limited options available and how more formal planting may be desired. Best of luck from all at Ennis Tidy Towns!
