ter the unbelievable success of last year’s Climate Action Award, Ennis Tidy Towns teamed up with the Ennis Chamber CE Scheme again this year to enter the Can It! Special Award. This award is about demonstrating that aluminium packaging can be a used as a resource and asks groups to give old beverage cans a new lease of life! Sponsored by Alupro Ireland, this special category was introduced to encourage people to make a difference by recycling.

Mark Wilson, from Mountshannon, showed us just how versatile reused aluminium cans be. Armed with this knowledge, workers from the Ennis Chamber Ce Scheme created terrific signs, decorations, pinwheels and tool displays from cans sourced at the Francis Street Bring Centre.
